ProCreate and Fimo

Tim "Diplomacy is the art of saying 'Nice doggie' until you can find a rock" Mayer is one of the masterminds at ProCreate, and as such is always looking to improve the product. As a sculptor, I enjoy working with various mediums to suit the needs of the Contract, and ProCreate is the primary putty for miniature sculpting.

I mix my ProCreate with another clay known as Fimo, which is a polymer clay that hardens when exposed to high temperatures. Using a 2/3 ProCreate to 1/3 Fimo ratio, I am able to extend the cure time of the Epoxy Putty without losing the ability to cast with a vulcanizing process. (Like spin-casting.) As well, the Fimo gives the ProCreate and Greenstuff a clay-like texture, akin to the clay mediums that I originally trained with at the Academy of Art. Though I don't have problems with ProCreate holding texture or detail; it holds sharp edges and fine detail without the rebound of Greenstuff. I have had issues with Greenstuff that Fimo is able to resolve when I add it to the mix.

Hope this helps answer a few questions. :D If you're Tim, keep up the awesome work on the blog! And if you are anyone else, feel free to ask questions or comment.

Oh yeah, Venture Brothers figures.

BOOSH!
